WI: Democratic President J. Edgar Hoover

After a short discussion I had with Ashlee, she asked me to set up this rather basic 'What If?', namely how a Hoover presidency would look like. Since I'm no expert on him (and the 1960s/70s in general), I'd be interested to know what you guys think.

I mean he had dirt on everyone, and plenty if power to weild. I was gyessing he could black mail his way to candidacy, as well as his crushing gangs. Assuming he gets to be the Dem./Rep. Candidate, this could be very interesting....
