What if Mary Queen of Scots born a boy?

Don't remember if anyone's asked this lately. What would happen? Would it give King James V an incentive to live longer? If not, where would the boy-I'm assuming King James VI be sent? or would he be sent anywhere?

Who would he be married to as he grows up?

I don't think the gender of the baby would have given an incentive to live - after all he probably died of cholera.

It would definitely be interesting to see a match between him and Queen Elizabeth I of England.

ATL James VI would stay in Scotland and would likely marry a French princess (or Austrian Archduchess) but not Elizabeth Tudor who is more than 9 years older than him
