PC/AHC: US Invasion of Saudi Arabia after 9/11

Since most high-ranking Al-Qaeda conducters are/were citizens of Saudi Arabia and several Saudi aristocrats are funding Islamist terrorist organizations... Is there any possibility of the USA conducting military operations in Saudi Arabia to eliminate Al-Qaeda influence within 5 years after 9/11, possibly even a genuine war?

public opinion in the moslem world be a big issue
imagine the effect on moslem youth after 2003 in the OTL x 100
will have to keep muslims within USA in internment camps ( politically that's almost impossible)

But seriously the biggest problem in the muslim world FOR THE MSULIMs is KSA like repressive states which continue to sell a medieval form of islam to the masses of muslims in other countries.

Yeah, pretty much. People got upset when the U.S. put troops in Saudi Arabia to defend it. Imagine the backlash if they declared war on Saudi Arabia and invaded it. It would not be pretty.

Maybe - maybe - the United States points out to the King that his countrymen are out of line, and would he mind getting them back in line. If support is required, then they can supply equipment and some troops.

If he refuses, there's bound to be somebody pliable in the succession who can be manoeuvred onto the throne by the CIA. Because of course that's had a brilliant track record for success...

To make matters worse, imagine the price of gas rising easily to $10.00/per gallon. Just remember that when the price of gas initially went to $3.00/per gallon in 1998, the Republicans tried to use the rise to justify impeachment hearings. If the price of gas goes to $2.00/per gallon due to the Iran peace talks, many expect Obama's peace deal will pass in the Senate....
