Nice!

I wouldn't suggest using that map, though. It's not canon.

I prefer this one:

If you really want the expanded scope, then use this:

latest

It's based off one of Tolkien's actual drawings.

Second map .. doesnt seem to have enough detail. Like everything south of Umbar looks just sketched very quickly
We can add some more details, but that's the general shape.

Here's the original sketch:

It does have some differences from the one above, but this sketch is First Age.

Here is another map according to MERP
merp-gif.95635

And this appeared on our forums:

The second one is canon. I have no idea where maps like the first got started, they look terrible (oh god, the bordergore!) and aren't even right. Just make sure you don't put Numenor on it.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm currently working on a LOTR color scheme!

It's based off my own obscenely complicated one for OTL, using analogies to fit the colours.

I haven't done my yearly LotR read through. So I suppose I could volunteer a bit of my reading energy towards that. I do love me some Middle Earth.

This is lovely. I've never made a map before, so don't think I'd be any help, but I'd like to offer likes and encouragement.
