Do things go as IOTL in England? If so, I reeeally can’t see Henry marrying Mary - maybe as a second or third wife, but surely he would be married before thenWhat if Charles Brandon was not sent to escort Mary from France?

Mary Tudor (1496-1533) m. Louis XII (1462-1515) (a) Maximilian I (1459-1519) (b)
1a) Elizabeth of France (1515-1580) m. James V of Scotland (1512-1542)
2b) Henry of Austria (1516-1583) m. Mary I of England (1516-1558)
3b) Maximilian of Austria (1518-1573) [1] m. Charlotte of France (1516-1573)
4b) Mary of Austria (1520-1600) m. Sigismund II of Poland (1520-1572)
[1] The French match is based off of the assumption that he becomes HRE...
Nope. Henry VIII dies of sweat in the 1520s, after James and Elizabeth are married. Henry of Austria seizes the chance and marries Mary. As he's now IX of England he can't exactly be the HRE, so his younger brother gets that insteadDo things go as IOTL in England?
For a 4-13 year old, Henry's very politically adept.Henry of Austria seizes the chance and marries Mary
Oh, ITTL his mother has stronger political instincts than she did IOTLFor a 4-13 year old, Henry's very politically adept.
His cousin Mary of England?B)Henry, Duke of Bourbon (1518-1580)m

I think Hedwig and Mary swapping husbands would make more senseMary Tudor marries Francis III, Duke of Brittany (male Charlotte from France)
I think Hedwig and Mary swapping husbands would make more sense
I can see Henry wanting his daughter to marry the son of his favorite sister but a Polish alliance might make more sense for France and it’s not like Duchess of Brittany would be considered an unsuitable position for an English princessit would have been the type of alliance, and Zapolya named Hedwig 'second son as his heir, but I can change it.
I think it’s unlikely that Mary would jeopardize her regency by remarrying before her son is of age (13 y/o for French kings) but given her otl actions it’s far from improbableMary Tudor (1496-1549) married a) Louis XII of France (1462-1515) and b)Charles III, Duke of Bourbon*(1490-1549)

It is my idea too, and I'd love to see Mary Tudor as the Happy Duchess of BrittanyI can see Henry wanting his daughter to marry the son of his favorite sister but a Polish alliance might make more sense for France and it’s not like Duchess of Brittany would be considered an unsuitable position for an English princess
