Explain the AH Quote

Texas made a series of commitments to us. Their refusal to satisfy them has forced us to obtain compensation by other means.
An Ugrian diplomat demanding that Texas cease support of the Latin Order in America's operations in the Navajo Nation.
Legally, Texas was and is Mexican territory, Mr. Ambassador. If your nation wishes to challenge it, we will meet on the field of honor to resolve it, and believe me, we will not hesitate like 50 years ago when half a nation was given to you in exchange for forgiving debts and maintaining peace. Now, if you'll excuse me, have a good day. (President Porfirio Díaz upon being urged by the US ambassador to leave Texas)
Centroamerican reactionary insurgent Porfirio Díaz, considered by some to be President of the Centroamerican Federation, replying to that diplomat of the United States of Ugria. Díaz, like others of his ultranationalist ideology, considered both of the two Mexican governments to be traitorous, and thought that the only real Mexico was the (nonexistent) Spanish crown colony, which did include Texas until the collapse of the Spanish empire circa 204. Between then and the present, Texas had become an ultranationalist state sympathetic to Díaz's ideals, and Díaz had taken refuge there...

Rason... between Korea, "Russia," Japan, and the Qing, how can we ever hope to defend it?

After the War of Liberation / Glorious Vengeance, the two former allies in the United States and Mexico would quickly find themselves at odds over restored Mexican rule over Texas, which would eventually explode after a border skirmish between Mexican and US forces killed 3 US soldiers and 4 Mexican ones. The ensuing conflict would last ten years and end with popular revolutions, brought on by war exhaustion, overthrowing both the US and Mexican governments and forging the Soviet Union of North America, the world's first constitutionally socialist state.

"Against all the odds, the two former enemies found comfort in each other. Russia wanted to regain their former strength, and the United States wanted revenge for what it saw as Europe's betrayal. And so, after a series of negotiations in New York the United States and the Russian Federation signed the Magadan Accords and established the Moscow-Wasington League, beginning phase two of the Cold War."

From “A History of the Cold War” by Anne Applebaum. After the collapse of Nato thanks to the infiltration of several Pro-Nazi politicians into France, Sweden and the UK the U.S. found itself with few continental allies. Ireland was too small to serve as an effective base to liberate Europe from, and Portugal was slowly falling to Reich influence. As a result the United States formed a friendship with Zhukov’s Russia, forming the Moscow-Washington League.

“Great. Just fucking great. Moscow has officially abandoned us to the tender mercies of the U.S. government, who are not going to merely settle for the return of Guantanamo Bay. I hope seeing Miami go up in a mushroom cloud was fucking worth it, brother, because you’ve fucked up the revilution in Cuba for good!”—Raoul Castro.

Well, that's one way for the US to win the Cuban Missile Crisis. At least Cuba doesn't have to deal with exiles as much anymore! (Because they're dead.) The Soviets disavow Cuba, the US is going to get revenge, and Raul Castro knows that it's over.

Sarcastic remark by the Red Army commander in liberated Rason upon hearing a Japanese radio announcement about an upcoming counterattack on the city. With the European theatre of WW2 winding down, the USSR turned its attention to Asia and sent its vast armies to kick the Japanese occupiers out of Manchuria and Korea. The Korean city of Rason, sharing a border with Russian Manchuria, was one of the first metropolises to be liberated and fell almost without a shot. Japanese radio broadcasts however, aiming to propagandize the civilian population, claimed that the Soviet attack on the Co-Prosperity Sphere will not go unanswered and that a multinational contingent of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian (a.k.a.: White Army volunteers of the Asano Brigade) troops was preparing to deliver a powerful counterpunch to the Reds at Rason. In reality what little “international” troops the Japanese could muster for this mission were demotivated and quickly surrendered to the Soviets.

*Sigh* “No grandpa, that’s David Hasselhoff.”

An excerpt from an article written by a German journalist recollecting the events surrounding the Fall of the Berlin Wall when the author was a young boy and a resident of the then East Germany, for the 30th anniversary. In particular, recalling his grandfather taking to him to Wall when David Hasselhoff was playing.

Seeing the success of the Zelda games, a live action movie staring David Haselhoff as Link was released in 1988 to mild success. East Germany moved formalize the open secret of western media in the country due to its relatively lax enforcement or censorship by granting approval to many foreign products. The Zelda games and movie where among those approved.

For the 40th anniversary of East Germany's founding, a propaganda film about the Russian revolution was released. Curiously, it starred a blonde actor as Lenin that bore a vague resemblance to David Haselhoff.

"Hermann Goering, well and truely a shadow of the grand Reichsmarschall, told me that he is no longer concerned about his fate, or whether he lives at all; for he has managed to live to see the day that the USSR crumbled. The euphoria over the Soviet's demise giving him contentment. At least he had the last laugh over Stalin."

Excerpt from Antoine de Saint-Exupér's "The end of Germany", a collection of interviews and articles about the final defeat of the Third Reich in 1946

Exeuper was particularly amazed by the delusion of the Nazis hierarchy following Operation Long Jump, aka the assasination of the three main Allies leader during tye Teheran Conference

In spite of the fact the Allies hadn't surrendered or the nuclear destruction of Berlin, the surving Nazis leaders stil believed that the successful assasination had proved the superiority of the Arians over "the Jewish-controlled Slavs and capitalists".

"We do horrible things while saying they were necessary. We talk about moral complexity while leading a genocide. We cry as if we were the real victims while pretending the real ones thank us for our sacrifice. London deserves to burn."

Biographer of Hermann Göring, Johann Buchner, upon interviewing the former Reichsmarchall. Göring, despite the heavy charges, was only sentenced to life in prison, rather than death by hanging, during the Nuremberg Trials, and would live out his days in a cell near Bonn, and, once more despite all odds, live to the old age of 99 years, living to see the news broadcast of the Soviet Union being dissolved in 1991, before passing away not long after.

"Niccolo Machiavelli's statements in regards to mercenaries would turn out awfully ironic, when his Florentine Citizens' Militia was killed to the last man after managing to corner a company of Swiss Reisläufer near Montepulciano. His writings posit mercenaries would break and flee, rather than fight to the death, and immediately switch sides when offered more money. This proved to be hollow when the Swiss captain, a man only known to history as 'Black Ferdinand', not just refused any bribes before battle, to the point he had the Florentine messenger that made the offer beheaded, but also when the Swiss company, despite having suffered heavy losses to enemy artillery, stood their ground and took their bloody toll on the Florentine Militia. Machiavelli himself, who was in command of the Militia, was nearly killed in the battle, and was left scarred and crippled for life afterwards. Many historians point to the battle of Montepulciano as the reason why Machiavelli's later writings throw so much venom and hatred at the Swiss in particular, calling them, among other things, 'uncivilized mountain barbarians'."

A excerpt from the book, " The Best Army money can buy, the Military History of neutral Switzerland and its non neutral mercenaries." The book told stories of great victories of Swiss mercenaries such as the destruction of the Florentine Militia , their arrival at Waterloo to help the French and their role saving the French Empire and of course the defense of Papal rule in Rome which continues to this day.

Upcoming journalist UK journalist Piers Morgan remarking on the Challenger Disaster, during which an actor playing Big Bird was killed when the rocket exploded mid-take off. The character of Big Bird was forever retired from Sesame Street, and it is reported that it permanently damaged the reputation of President Ronald Reagan in the eyes of many who were children at the time. The administration, for their part, did not acknowledge Big Bird the character's death, but Reagan did mention the actor who was killed playing the iconic Sesame Street character during his Presidential address on the matter.

Supposedly a conversation between the Prince Charles of Wales and Princess Anne when he decided to elope with Camilla Shard in 1973. Ironically despite the public backlash, apart from Prince Edward, Charles would have the healthiest marriage of his siblings.

"The King wants his wife back."
"She's a bit busy leading an army against him."

Conversation between a herald of Henry II of England and Philip II of France. Eleanor of Aquitane had escaped from her imprisonment in 1177, and with the help of her son Richard had raised a new revolt against Henry with help from the Capetians. The Familial War would last three more years and lead to the deaths of both Eleanor of Richard. Ultimately Henry's lands would be divided between his two surviving sons, Henry III "the Young King" and Geoffrey of Brittany.

Excerpt from a speech attributed to Julius Caesar in Rome, the Consul who tried to become King, failed, was narrowly alerted to a conspiracy by senators to kill him, so he prepared to leave power, leaving inheritances to his nephew Augustus as his heir, Julius Cesar, drank poisoned wine himself and died saying the above phrase.

“So… Elvis won an Oscar for playing Tom Hagen in Mario Puzo’s The Godfather. You gotta stop drinking before you time travel!”
Excerpt from a line from the 2017 Back To The Future reboot film starring Robert Downey Jr(Doc Brown) and Tom Holland(Marty), the context is that Marty accidentally interfered in Elvis' life after having a few beers and saying "Why Not " before timetraveling in the DeLorean......the film was a commercial failure.... .

"Hello dear....what to turn on the TV on the BBC...there was something with my father.......William.....NO!THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE!NO I DON'T WANT!I DON'T WANT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS!"
"You are the King now whether you like it or not Harry, your child nephew cannot be King, we have to leave for London soon."
