Caesar survives

As Crassus (?) raises his knife someone warns Caesar and he turns and blocks. The others fall back and Caesar's bodyguard moves in. The assassins all turn on Crassus. The upshot is that Caesar survives, but noone beyond Crassus (or whoever was first) is clearly implicated in the plot.

What happens now?

Brutus comes from another angle and stabs Ceaser, killing him.

I was always under impression that all the knife wounds to JC's body, bar one (the one to the heart) were not enough to have proved fatal. Although this might have meant as singular wounds and that as a collective they probably would have even killed an aging warhorse such as Caesar. In that light say MA had turned up in the nick of time, it is perhaps still concievable that they survive.

Crassus was long dead - Cassius Longinius proabably made the first blow.

If JC survives, then he's off to Parthia - everythign was set up, and they had a lesson coming for destroying a legion.
