Judging from the comments I've read on this board, the most prevalent opinion is that Macedonians are a subsection of Bulgarians who are now considered a separate ethnicity due to Yugoslavic machinations.
In fact, many maps of the late 19th/early 20th centuries explicitly labelled Macedonians as Bulgarians.
So, knowing this, is there any hope of Macedonia becoming part of Warsaw Pact Bulgaria, and not the communist-yet-neutral Yugoslavia?
