I've been looking forward to this game, because as was said before, the RTS genre is really becoming stale and repetitive. hope this is good--anybody read any reviews?
Here's the link.
Here's the story:
Scifi author spoils his entire book series for terminally ill fan
This is both heart-rending and wonderful. Nachu Bhatnagar is a huge fan of author Harry...
Something I feel is overlooked frequently on this board is how angry the US was over British maritime wartime policy---sieving neutral ships and hauling them into ports, declaring huge areas a "war zone", etc. Now Anglo-American relations were at their highpoint in 1914, but give a few extra...
That assumes that they go for the amphibious war option. If Turkey is in the war, that won't be as necessary, and it would give the Germans great position of they decide to strike the Soviets first. I doubt that they'd be enormously successful and take Stalingrad, but it could pull forces away...
If Turkey were opened up to Axis forces, I could also see Hitler start to plan to betray Stalin. As stated previously, his bombers would be in striking range of Soviet oilfields, which would be a tempting target. Stalin would realize this, and Hitler would probably know that Stalin got it as...
I agree, that probably is the best POD for an Axis Turkey.
All that'd really be needed it to allow German troops to cross their territory, not even a declaration of war, really(although the allies would probably see it as such).
Just caught up. Great timeline. I foresee big problems between the British and Teddy Roosevelt. IOTL, the U.S under Wilson protested the actions of the British regarding their policy toward neutral shipping and maritime Naval policy in general. Further, Anglo-American relations were at best in...
I think you'd need Turkey somehow to enter the war and join the Axis, otherwise there's no logistical base for a German offensive into the Middle East. If, somehow, Germany got Turkey to enter the war in 1940 or 1941, then Germany could potentially move enough troops to make a difference in...
I'm not sure that had an official agreement, but rather that they both worked together because it was to their mutual benefit to get their nations at war. It's not so much like they were partners as it was they were like Hitler and Stalin, their goals aligned.
Exactly. It's still kind of a weak explanation considering the U.S Navy and distances between Russia and the Eastern seaboard of the U.S, but Shepard did give the Russians the ability to hack into the U.S defenses.
It's a real convoluted timeline, but after playing MW3, it almost seems like a supervillian story with the Markov character. We know that he and the American General Shepard conspired to instigate a war with Russia and the West. Shepard was driven to it by the events in MW1--""Five years ago, I...
Agreed. I thought it was hinted that the USA would enter the war, but without any major violations of American neutrality by the League I think the bad PR for the Entente will keep American out of the war.
