List of Alternate Monarchs and Aristocratic Lineage II

Great work! Suggestion for a tree: Juan posthumous child is born alive and a boy names Juan after his father.

Juan, Prince of Asturias and Girona ( 1477 -1498) m. Margaret of Austria (1480-1530)

1. Juan III of Castile, Aragon, II of Sicily, I of Naples (1498 -1550) m. Eleanor of Austria
a. Stillborn son (1518)
b. Fernando VI of Spain (1520- 1560) m. Maria of Portugal (1521 -1552)
c. Isabel of Spain (1523-1545) m. Maximilian II. HRE
d. Juan, II of Naples, III of Sicily (1526 -1555) m. ??
e. Miscarriage (1530)
f. Miscarriage (1531)
g. Alfonso, (1535-1571) Church

Great work! And u assume Margaret was regent for him in castile after Isabel died.

I don't often make forays into 19th century genealogies but...here ya go. POD is the survival of Elizabeth of Clarence, the younger daughter of William IV and Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen.

Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom (Elizabeth Georgiana Adelaide; 1820-?) m. William of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, Prince Consort (William Charles/Wilhelm Karl; 1819-?) [1] in 1838, had issue

1) Adelaide, Princess Royal (Adelaide Victoria Mary; b. 1840) [2] m. Alexander II, King of the Netherlands (1840-?) [3]
2) William V, King of England, etc. (William Henry; b. 1841) m. Anna of Hesse and by Rhine (1842/1843-1865) in 1864, had issue (a); Alexandrine of Prussia (1842-?) in 1866, had issue (b)
3) Louisa (Louisa Ida Georgiana; b. 1843) m. Frederick VIII, King of Denmark (1843-?)
4) Charles, Duke of Clarence (Charles Edward Augustus; b. 1845) m. Lady Edith Campbell (1849-?)
5) George, Duke of Kendal (George Arthur Charles; b. 1848) [4] m. Elisabeth Sibylle of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (1854-?)
6) Amelia (Amelia Charlotte Augusta Sophia; b. 1850) m. Ernst August II, King of Hanover (1845-?)

[1] IOTL he died unmarried at the age of 20, but ITTL I can’t imagine Adelaide not pushing him towards her daughter.
[2] Named for her mother’s dear cousin Alexandrina Victoria of Kent.
[3] Alexander II is the ATL son of Sophie of Württemberg and Alexander of the Netherlands, who rules as King Alexander I ITTL because his brother Willem dies early.
[4] No reason why the Duke of Wellington can’t be his godfather like he was to Prince Arthur IOTL…

Great work, and would Victoria and Albert still marry? with albert succeding his brother on the duchy?

Not here... Decided to give Maria of Aragon a few more years to her life. At least to see her first grandson
With that name and birth year can be only the daughter of Eleanor of Austria. Maria would be too old for still having children for her family’s standards. Plus Maria had already a daughter with her name in 1513… An Eleanor or Catarina born in 1518 would be far likelier and Eleanor of Austria would be married to Juan around 1514, so she must have her first child earlier than 1518…

So I can change the birth date to 1519 maybe? Maria was 34 when she died but maybe give her 4 or 5 years more to live? She might die during the birth of her namesake.

Maria was 3/4 months away from her 35th birthday at her death and she had already a daughter called after her in 1513… She do not need to die in childbirth but is unlikely she would have a child after 1518 (Catherine was three years younger than her and had her last pregnancy in 1518, while Isabella was 34 at Catherine’s birth)

Mohacs does not happen:

Louis II (1506-1538) King of Bohemia and Hungary, m. Mary of Austria (1505-1558)

1) Stephen VI (1527-1543) King of Bohemia and Hungary 1538

2) Anna (1528-1580) m. Sigismund II Augustus (1520-1572) Grand Duke of Lithuania, King of Poland

3) Mary (1529-1556) m. Ferdinand (1529-1595) Archduke of Tyrol

4) Louis III (1531-1569) King of Bohemia and Hungary 1543, m. Catherine of Austria (1533-1571)

5) Ladislaus (1533-1536)

6) Sigismund II (1534-1592) King of Bohemia and Hungary 1569, m. Elizabeth of Austria (1554-1594)

Now this would have some pretty big butterflies in Central Europe, given how Louis' death at Mohacs allowed the Habsburgs to fill the power vacuum and add Hungary to their core lands.

I imagine that Ferdinand's line in the HRE will then have the time to focus on germany and the reformation.

in reality Ferdinand in Otl exploits a lot the resources coming from his Jaggelonian inheritance, in particular Bohemia, if in this scenario he does not have this surplus which benefits him, it is very likely that his position within the empire is clearly more precarious compared to Otl, perhaps he would try to convince Charles to enfeoff him as Duke of Milan or at least push to have the imperial ban applied to the members of the League of Smalkand, in the hope of gaining their possessions
